Another article, published by the New York Times and cited by Forbes, states that doubts are continuing to be raised about the legitimacy of the claims of internal bleeding, including its alleged cause of Ross being struck by Renee Good’s vehicle. The original video footage of the incident has left these outlets deeply questioning the legitimacy of DHS and the Trump Administration’s anonymous claims. I also noticed this post because it directly disputed another post, which supported the argument that the ICE agent who reportedly shot and killed Renee Good is suffering from internal bleeding. I love how you highlight the potential bias news outlets have when delivering a story. The administration holds much power when controlling an outlet. If an outlet is not presenting a story that supports their campaign or is persuasive enough to gather the attention of a bigger audience, they can instantly cut their funding. Knowing the political standpoint behind this CBS post, with its heavy ties to Trump’s administration, there is space for questioning if this source is fully true or heavily tainted to paint a story that did not happen. There is no evidence of this ICE agent’s medical records. No one from the hospital or nursing staff has come out with a statement. We cannot just believe a story because it comes from an administration. An innocent person passed away from his brutality. He was able to return to his family after being supposedly treated in the hospital, she wasn’t.
