"It seems ridiculous to even bring up the 49ers’ playoff chances when they have proven to be such a flawed team through 10 games of the regular season.

Coach Kyle Shanahan is the person most responsible for the team underachieving at such an epic level. He’s the head coach and the offensive mastermind.

But the offense has sputtered at the most inopportune times this season. So where does the team go from here?

That’s what’s on the minds of the 49ers’ fan base — as expressed via the Bluesky social network:"

To start, this claim is totally opinionated about whether Kyle Shannon is on the Hot Seat, but I believe he isn't. He has been the coach for the 49ers since 2017 and has led them to four winning seasons and two Super Bowls. Even though they are currently 5-7 and in last place in the NFC West, the 49ers GM just told the media "I've found the whole situation rather comical."(NFL.com)  He later went on to say that Kyle is an excellent coach and is 100% behind him. The GM also said this season isn't at all Kyle Shannon's fault with the 49ers dealing with so many injuries and setbacks. Hopefully, for 49er fans and Kyle's sake, they can figure it out with 5 games to go and make the playoffs and all this chatter will immediately go away.

In the article, Kyle Shanahan is 0-3 in Super Bowls, a record no coach has overcome to win a ring, from NBCsports, Smith speaks to the difficulty of the position Coach Shanahan is in being 0 to 3 loses in superbowl games saying, "Shanahan is the fifth head coach or coordinator in NFL history to start his career 0-3 in Super Bowls, and none of the others ever won a Super Bowl, according to NFL Research." This doesn't mean that Shanahan won't have a chance to go to the superbowl again, it's just a statistic that no one else has ever overcame this obstacle. The statement that he's in the hot seat for the time being isn't invalid but definitely opinionated based on his current track record with the 49's. "Shanahan’s well-documented Super Bowl struggles include his team blowing double-digit leads in all three of the Super Bowls he has coached in. With an impressive 49ers roster heading into this season, Shanahan’s team may return to the Super Bowl again in seven months, but his history may cast a dark cloud over any future Super Bowl appearance," Smith says.

Putting the facts, stats, and records aside, it should go without saying that a claim like this is opinion based, and is a claim that can change from person to person. With recent success, but not enough to win a Super Bowl, there are rumors that Shanahan should get fired for not being able to continue the 49ers historic success. With 7 winning seasons as the 49ers head coach, and an overall record of 70-62-0, Shanahan has proved do be an effective coach, to an extent. Since 2017, he has lead the 49ers to 4 playoff appearances as well as 2 Superbowl ones, ultimately coming short and losing. He currently holds the highest playoff winning percentage as a coach .667 (8-4 record) in the playoffs without winning a Suberbowl. Now with that being said, based on the stats, Shanahan appears to be a good coach. Therefore, this fact check cannot be tru or false, and it entirely opinion based.
