POLITICO: EU governments are panicking that Trump may retaliate against allies for refusing to help in the Middle East - by ending support for Kyiv.

"Leaders hope that their offer of limited support for his actions against Tehran will be enough to convince Trump to stay the course…"

1. The claim seems to be partially true, but there is some overstatement. There is credible reporting that some EU leaders fear that President Donald Trump could retaliate against allies by reducing support for Ukraine if they do not support U.S. actions in the Middle East. Though this is not a confirmed action, there still seems to be some suspicion among officials. This information has a link to a tweet with no other outside information. Leaving us with no strong primary evidence showing Trump explicitly making this threat in this exact context.
2. An article by the UN reaffirms support for Ukraine during this time of concern about the U.S policy shifts. It clearly shows the fear of the lack of support from the U.S., but it does not confirm the retaliation with the affiliations with the Middle East.

3. The was very few primary sources that support the original claim, but there were two articles that can be added as secondary sources. According to the first source, the EU governments are terrified of the idea of retaliation from the U.S. They have sent limited support to the middle east to the possibility of losing resources and support in Kyiv. The second source explains how Europe is ready to reduce U.S support, though Trump might use Ukraine as leverage, it is not tied directly with the idea of retaliation in the Middle East.

4. These sources I have obtained could all have political bias in some way. They all have some sort of interest in finding the drama and tension between political policies.
5. What evidence supports the claim you are fact-checking?

The secondary sources both give evidence of the claim that is at hand. One states that European diplomats expressed fear of retaliation that could affect Ukraine's aid. The other states that Europe is actively trying to "appease" and influence Trump's decision to make sure the concerns are taken seriously.

6. The original main source directly explains how all members of the UN are committed to supporting Ukraine through all this. There is also no direct claim from President Trump that confirms the retaliation.
Can't be true or false (Opinion, poem, etc.)
