Crockett is pro-Holocaust and anti-Hispanic. If anyone is testing the multiracial coalition, it's she.

The above BlueSky post claims that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Tx.) is pro-Holocaust and anti-Hispanic, using an article from the mainstream news outlet Politico as the single source. This article, written by senior national politics correspondent and former New York Times and Washington Post journalist Adam Wren, contains no mention of Rep. Crockett’s stance on the Holocaust and makes no mention or allegation of Crockett expressing anti-Hispanic sentiment. Instead, the article makes note that a Hispanic-led podcast was accused of being racist and sexist towards Crockett.

“The first major dustup happened in January, when the hosts of the popular podcast ‘Las Culturistas’ urged people not to send money to Crockett because she had a history of ‘making it too obviously about herself rather than the voters’, a comment that hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang later apologized for after a furious online response from Crockett supporters who accused them of being racist and sexist.”

The Politico article provided clearly focuses on the race between Crockett and competing Democratic candidate James Talarico and focuses on the race relation and multiracial coalition within the Democratic Party regarding this election race, without any mention of the Holocaust or Crockett expressing anti-Hispanic sentiment.

Articles regarding comments made by Crockett regarding Hitler–and by extension, the Holocaust–date to September of last year, when Crockett dismissed claims that comparing Donald Trump to Hitler would exacerbate politically-motivated violence, as reported by notable right-wing mass media outlet Fox News. This article notably implies that Crockett is against Hitler and the Holocaust, as she compares the former to Donald Trump, who she is adamantly against and publicly expresses that sentiment. There are no mentions of anti-Hispanic rhetoric from Crockett in this article either.

No other articles, including those from peer-reviewed and mainstream sources, support the claim in the BlueSky post of Crockett expressing anti-Semitic and/or anti-Hispanic sentiment. It can therefore be confidently verified that the claim being made is false and likely intentionally misleading due to the contentious nature of the Texas electoral races.
