Russian hackers faked travel sites to steal travelers payment methods. They made a site with multiple housing places hoping people would book and put their credit information in. it started by sending a fake email rushing them to click a link to confirm their booking details. using multiple different ways they took the information and hacked their cards and emails. this left many confused and stuck.

The verdict is that this report is true. People who specialize in cybersecurity have found a very large case of fraud where Russian hackers made 4,300 fake travel websites. There websites were made to look just like popular websites like Expedia, Booking.com and Airbnb. The objective was to trick travelers into booking their trips on those websites, requiring them to put in their credit card details, which include CVV numbers, which allowed hackers to steal that information and money.
