Larry Bushart, a 61-year-old man, was arrested for posting a meme of Charlie Kirk following his assassination. The Facebook post quoted Trump saying "we have to get over it" after a 2024 school shooting in Iowa. He was arrested after refusing to delete the post with a 2 million dollar bail.

According to this article by the Washington Post, Bushart had shared over 100 political posts on Facebook. Local deputies went to Bushart's home at night investigating the posts. After denying they were threatening and inviting investigators to take a look themselves, Bushart was arrested on September 22nd. Officials recently dropped charges on October 31st, although they did not state a reason.

This claim and this article is claiming that a Tennessee man, Larry Bushart was arrested for 5 weeks (37 days) for posting a meme about Charlie Kirk. I have immediately found many other articles about this case including the one from CNN which is a very credible source. All of the sources point out how he was arrested and held on a two million dollar bond that he could not afford. the repetition of the same information gives the claim credibility. Even though CNN is known to have a more democratic leaning style, finding the same information on other sources confirms the facts and credibility making the claim true.
