The study was done by Intouch, insight for the 25th annual drive-through study. Not only reported by Fox News, but also by Local 12. Looking at the study report:

They broke up the fast food places into three separate categories to best be able to rank them. and find which leads overall in each segment, which are: classic, chicken, and beverage. Looking at the study and both reports of it, Chick-fil-a is the overall slowest; however, it ties with Ducth Bros for overall satisfaction. Due to ducth bros not being mentioned in the claim, I think it's a little misleading. However, overall, true Tacobell was fastest at 4:16, and Chick-fil-A was slowest at 7:06.

They had also added more information regarding Taco Bell, Chick-Fil-A, Dutch Bros, and two other food chains, which do not significantly relate to the main claim of the article. In conclusion, this article is essentially misleading and exaggerated in a sense, though some parts are true.

"Overall, the average total drive-thru time was five minutes and 35 seconds, slightly slower than 2024 but three seconds faster when excluding brands that were just added to the study this year: Popeyes, Dutch Bros, Starbucks, and Tim Hortons." Chick-fil-A ranked as the slowest, but it ranked highest in satisfaction.

I believe that the original article linked by Fox News should also mention the fact that Dutch Bros also won in terms of satisfaction because they fail to mention them in the title. The article states that Taco Bell has a speed of 4.3 minutes, and Chick-fil-a is nearly twice as long; "Taco Bell took the speed crown for the second straight year, Baja Blasting us through in just 4.3 minutes. Chick-fil-A customers waited almost twice as long — eight minutes in total.". However, Chick-fil-a naturally has longer lines and if you were to adjust for the number of cars in line, Chick-fil-a moves the fastest. But what Chick-fil-A lacks in speed, it makes up for with customer service, as it was first in overall satisfaction. Where this claim is a little misleading, is that it wasn't actually first overall; it was tied for first overall with Dutch Bros. Dutch Bros was also ranked as the number one most accurate out of all the other drive-thrus, so I would put Dutch Bros higher than Chick-fil-A just because it won in another category.

Overall, this claim is mostly true, but there are some little details to include to help clear it up, and I would have put Dutch Bros instead of Chick-fil-A on the original claim.

In this article they sorted the food services into three categories: Classic, chicken, and beverage. They then rated them based on three categories: Service time, window time, and wait time. These categories helped to narrow down the competitors. In the article it is stated that customers prefer a short time with accuracy to their order. In both service time and wait time, classic was the fastest with chicken winning window time. After looking through all the data, it was then redetermined that for the fifth year in a row, Taco Bell remains the fastest drive-thru.

While Taco Bell seems to be deemed the fastest, Chick-Fil-A still needs to be deemed satisfactory. In searching for articles about Chick-fil-A, the first one too pop up was Fox News. While this is a popular News cite, it is important to acknowledge the biases that especially news programs can have. “Chick-fil-A was voted the highest in customer satisfaction for the 11th consecutive year, according to the newest American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) rankings released in June.”-foxnews.com. Rated by the American Consumer Satisfaction Index, in fact for the last 11 straight years Chick-Fil-A has been at the top of the customer satisfaction list. While this is a rather exaggerated story and claim, all finding maintain it as true.

Chick fil a was ranked the slowest drive-thru. The time that they had was around 7 mintues 5 seconds. But they do have the best customer service.
