The main claim that Ukraine is fascist and is a fascist government is exaggerated and false, however the secondary claim that Ukraine is getting Patriot missiles from Israel is more misleading and confusing.
According to a few sources, including CIDOB, the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs, an independent news outlet that doesn’t lean right or left, however some of their main news coverage is over political affairs. During this article it states that Ukraine is not inherently fascist, it does have some right leaning people and cities, however with the election of President Zelensky the left wing is primarily in charge. The country only has the image of right power, but in reality it is weak. Some of these fascist claims come directly from Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, as BBC confirms. In the article they confirm that Ukraine had right-wing popularity before the election of the current president, however no power came from that side. There is no specific evidence leading to the claim that Ukraine is under a fascist government.
The second claim that Ukraine is getting Patriot missiles is misleading but true, according to Euractiv, a news outlet that writes about EU activity. Even though the weapons are being sent from Israel, it is not Israel who is sending them. The United States is who gave Israel in the first place, and Ukraine has been asking for help for years. The New York Times confirms that in recent news they have received one from the US via Israel, and are currently working on gaining more from other EU countries like Germany and Greece. This transference of weapons is in hopes of creating peace and protecting Ukraine from Russia.
The statement that Ukraine is a fascist government is false, and the statement that Ukraine is gaining Patriot missiles from Israel is misleading but somewhat true.
