According to NBC, "new scam tactic, targeting air travelers under the guise of TSA PreCheck". They claim to be sending you email updates but then they ask for personal information and credit card numbers. It may seem real but it is a danger especially around busy travel times when they know someone will fall for cutting the line.

This is true. There have been reports of travel scammers trying to steal personal information and drain bank accounts during the holiday travel season. An article by the New York Post states that scammers are emailing frequent flyers about signing up for TSA pre-check, asking travelers to hand over credit-card numbers and personal information. The Post quotes the Federal Trade Commission saying not to sign up for Pre-Check online and gives information about where to safely sign up for the program. This claim is very well written. Reading this claim makes me more aware of when I travel. I also really appreciate how there is a brief description of the articles that are linked. This made it very helpful for me to do research of my own if I wanted to. It was good to know that the source is trusted and the information provided in the article/website is trusted.
