An inverted cross near Pope Francis’ coffin is a satanic symbol.

This is a fairly simple one to disprove. The popes coffin has a very specific shape, it's wider at the head and tapered towards the tail end. In both the image this claim has linked and a multitude of other images you can see that the cross is oriented with its top towards the head of the coffin and its bottom towards the tail. On top of that you can even verify the position of the pope in said coffin in many images before it was sealed. The perspective of this photo is from that of the cardinals honoring him they stand at the popes head so in their perspective the cross would be inverted, but the simple solution to that is standing in front of the coffin rather then behind.

Sorry I forgot to add this but these images were sourced from the live stream on YouTube. Though, that isn't much of a factor in credibility as these images are also by no means unique there were many other media outlets covering this topic live from a multitude of different countries.

The inverted cross observed near Pope Francis' coffin during his funeral is not a satanic symbol. In Catholic tradition, the inverted cross, known as the Cross of Saint Peter, symbolizes the martyrdom of Saint Peter, who, according to tradition, was crucified upside down because he felt unworthy to die in the same manner as Jesus Christ. This symbol has been associated with humility and sacrifice for centuries and is commonly used in Catholic iconography, including papal ceremonies.Reuters+4Catholic365+4Medium+4Cultura Colectiva

Reports from reputable sources, such as Reuters and Lead Stories, have clarified that the presence of the inverted cross in this context is a longstanding Christian symbol and not indicative of satanic practices. Furthermore, some viral videos and images claiming to show satanic rituals at the Pope's funeral have been debunked, with fact-checkers identifying the footage as originating from unrelated religious processions in Spain.Boatos.org+1AAP News+1
